You enter the Garden by a bridge over the Curl brook. The Tower on your right spouts water from gargoyles at the top and is home to a flock of white doves.

The bog garden is rich in water loving plants. Paths cross the bog allowing a good view of individual plants.

The rose Rambling Rector makes itself at home over a steel frame. This small pond and fountain is a cool corner on a hot day. Pink primulas and mimulus provide the drama. Rambling Rector

I built the African summer house using the re-growth of doomed elm trees and thatch of bull rushes from the pond. It gives a good view of the wild flower meadow.

This is the newest part of the garden. I re-aligned the stream along the line of sight to the meadow beyond. The stream side is now home to massed primulas. The bank is planted with small conifers.

The south gable end wall of the house is covered by an Albertine rose and below is a classic border.

My latest folly is a dome made of wine bottles that is now complete and open for the first time this year. It received much publicity last year being featured in local and national press and television. As you can see many of my neighbours have been working hard at the wine to provide me with building materials!
